I think by now everyone is getting a little sick of this cold winter weather. Bundling up before stepping outside is just not that fun anymore, especially when stores are releasing their spring lines already! It is torture, for sure. BUT, yes I started a sentence with but (Oops) there is something huge to look forward to. Besides shedding some layers for the spring/summer sun that's just around the corner you might want to stock up on some layering since one of our favorite department stores will be opening an outlet! Yes, I said it: an outlet.Shopaholics listen up because our one stop shop, our home away from home better known as Bloomingdale's will be opening up three outlet stores in the upcoming summer and fall. New Jersey, Florida, and Virginia are getting blessed with the first ever Bloomingdale's outlet shops. How much better can discount shopping really get?
CEO, Terry J. Lundgren thought it was time to open an outlet, and we couldn't agree more. Competition like Nordstrom's Rack and Saks Off Fifth has been getting stiffer, and Bloomingdale's was starting to feel it. Since the recession hit Bloomingdale's has seen a pull back from consumers and their spending at the department store. To keep everyone happy and Bloomingdale's afloat, this was obviously the right thing to do!
