A Lesson On Guidos

There has been a lot of controversy since the airing of MTV's new hit show The Jersey Shore. The cast members have took it upon themselves to be self proclaimed guidos and guidettes, which is a slang word for an Italian. People have taken offense to these remarks and are speaking out.

At Queensboro College sociologist Donald Tricario has been studying Italians and the guidos. TIME and the Daily Beast both featured Tricario's work about the G word. Take a look at the full article and his work about the Jersey Shore and that infamous word young Italians call themselves.
