My Top Favorite Gowns at the Golden Globe Awards 2010

We all love the drama's on television like Glee, True Blood, Mad Men, The Good Wife, and Dexter. Others of us love the humor, thrill, and drama of movies like Avatar, The Blind Side, Precious, and The Hangover. While many of us enjoy for one reason or another to watch actors and actresses walk up on stage and accept an award thanking everyone, and us-their fans for sitting on our butts and watching them provide great entertainment. What is not up for debate is that somewhere before the show starts, and stars begin to arrive the red carpet is transformed into a runway. Aside from the awards all that becomes important are that the designers, the jewelry, the handbags, and the shoes are at their highest caliber because at the end of the night all any magazine, newspaper, website or radio station will talk about or remember is, THE FASHION. That folks truly is what I believe we all love about the awards! So why wouldn't I highlight those beauty queens and divas of the night whose gowns made me want to relive my prom night. Here are my top 10 favorite choices of BEST dressed at the Golden Globe Awards 2010!
Penelope Cruz looked absolutely ravishing in a Giorgio Armani PrivĂ© lace gown that features a dramatic neckline beaded in a floral pattern, horizontal ribbon striping with fitted sleeves, and Chopard jewels. Her hair pulled back to one side and curled away from her face adds elegance and character to her look, and the makeup is simple and natural allowing for her natural beauty to reflect the beauty of the gown. Lea Michele looked like a fabulous dark princess in a black strapless chiffon Oscar de la Renta gown with Chopard jewelry. Jennifer Aniston didn't disappoint in her simple, sleek, sexy black Valentino gown with a thigh-high split and a Fred Leighton 19th Century enamel and gold Egyptian Revival bracelet. Julie Bowen shined on the red carpet wearing a black Georges Hobeika fitted gown with a sweet heart neckline with a black pailette and crystal bodice. Her hair loosely pulled back, and jewelry kept to a minimum she let the dress speak for itself. Rose Byrne wore gorgeous royal purple gown by Lanvin paired with black patent “Maniac” pumps, a clutch by Judith Leiber, and vintage jewels from Madison Avenue jeweler Stephen Russell. Rose’s wore her hair in soft wavy curls created by celeb stylist Harry Josh. Sandra Bullock looked super sweet in her purple strapless Bottega Veneta from Veneta's spring 2010 collection. She accessorized with gorgeous grey 40 carat diamond drop earrings, and yellow 20 carat diamonds in blackened gold and a bold diamond ring from Lorraine Schwartz. Sandra also won best actress in a motion picture drama for the Blind Side. Sophia Vergara looked sheek and modern in a gray Carolina Herrera dress with swipe of crimson twisted into the top of her strapless gown. She wore elegant Chopard jewelry and finished her look by loosely pulling her back. Olivia Wilde in a jet and silver sequined Gucci evening gown -- which she will auction off after the show to benefit relief efforts in Haiti. She also rocked Tiffany & Co. jewelry and her hair pulled back into a long curly pony. While not everyone thought Fergie was best dressed at the Golden Globes I personally loved that she did a soft elegant lavender (periwinkle) chiffon Elie Saab gown. As for her look in its entirety there really wasn't much else. She wore dark wavy long locks, barely any makeup, and a diamond bracelet. Her stylist could've done a lot more with her look from the neck up to make her stand out a bit more. Emily Blunt looked prettier in pink and as elegant as ever in a pink tulle and chiffon strapless gown with ruffle detail by Dolce & Gabbana. She wore Jimmy Choo “Quinze” booties and a Ferragamo pewter minaudiere with metal and leather inserts.
