HOW TO GET LONGER HAIR FASTER!

Cosmopolitan Magazine had an article in their February 2010 issue about three secrets to growing longer hair FASTER. While the short, choppy, shoulder length bobs have had their time to shine. Women are trying whatever they can to get their long luscious locks back for winter. Longer hair has become an obsession for women this season, and Cosmo delivered all the tips necessary to help you get your hair growing. One thing the magazine didn't make clear was the type of hair these "repunzel worthy secrets" pertained too. As all women know all hair is not the same because different women need different things for their hair depending on the texture. I'm not sure if all of the following methods will work for every woman or hair type, but here are a few tips that Kate Sandoval at Cosmo wanted women to know to help nourish and grow longer heathy hair. TRIMMING: It helps but you have to make sure you're keeping up with trimming regularly to avoid having to chop off more than you want to grow. HAIR PRODUCTS AND HEAT: Using too many hair products clogs hair follicles and putting too much heat does hurts your hair and stunts growth. TO HELP YOUR HAIR GROW LONGER AND FASTER TRY THESE METHODS: For a clean scalp to help hair grow take one part witch hazel & one part mouthwash, pour it in a spray bottle, and spray it all over your scalp. Massage your scalp for five minutes and Rinse. (The astringents remove buildup on your scalp) For strong growing hair: Before you shampoo warm 1 cup olive oil in the microwave until its lukewarm, and pour it on wet hair. Comb through hair with a wide tooth comb from root to end then wrap a towel around your head and wait 20 mins. Rinse,Shampoo, and Condition. Here are a few traditional methods that I've tried personally, and I found to work really well. Although, these methods may take a little more time than those above they get the job done. 1.)TAKE CARE OF YOUR SCALP BECAUSE IT NEEDS ATTENTION TOO: Be sure to brush your hair with a scalp brush every night before bed as close to 100 times or as long as you can, and two minutes pre-shower. 2.) USE THE RIGHT PRODUCTS FOR YOUR HAIR: When looking for the right shampoo or condition check to make sure it has good moisturizing ingredients like shea butter or avocado oil. 3.) LET YOUR HAIR REST ON LAZY DAYS: Putting heat in your hair everyday isn't good for your hair, but some of us cant do without a little bumping and curling in the morning. So try pin curing your hair before bed to avoid having to put little to any heat in your hair in the morning, Use ceramic plated irons and heat shielding spray before using the irons, and on a Sunday (or at least once a week) keep the blowdryer or irons out of your hair. (http://www.organixhair.com/index.asp) Pin Curling is easier than it looks. I usually start by from the back of my hair and work my way up by dividing sections of my hair horozontally across, then i start by taking a piece a at time from left to right parting my hair into small, med, or large pieces depending on how tight or big I want my curls in the morning. For curls: take a piece of your hair and place both your left and right index fingers and thumbs at the end of your hair. Use both your index fingers to roll your hair up to the root. Lay the donut shape flat to your head and pin it down. For straight bumped hair: take medium to big pieces of hair and sectioned as before and roll your hair under to form a bump and pin the ends. here's an example of what each section should look like. CLIP-IN Hair Extensions are the NEW Craze! They are easy, affordable, and cause less damage to your hair than other "weaving" methods. 25 inch clip-in's can cost about, $89.
