To Haiti With Love

"On January 12 a devastating earthquake changed the landscape of Haiti forever" -Vera Wang..."An unimaginable number of Haitians were killed or injured"-Tommy Hilfiger..."Hundreds of thousands remain in need of food and shelter."- Diane von Furstenberg...These are words right out of the mouths of some of the fashion industry's most influential, as part of a video that was put together for the CFDA Fashion For Haiti Campaign. Fashion For Haiti is the American fashion industry's county-wide response to the horrible earthquake that rocked Haiti's world into ruin almost two months ago.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc (CFDA)is a non-profit trade association, consisting of over 350 of America's foremost fashion designers, that leads industry-wide initiatives. Diane von Furstenberg, world-class designers and President of the CFDA, says that "it is now important to send a message and create a channel for funding as a fashion industry." Now, more than ever, Haiti needs America's help, and the CFDA has organized an effort to raise monies for the victims. For only $25, everyone can purchase a fabulous "Fashion for Haiti" T-shirt, with the proceeds benefiting the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund was organized by President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush to raise money for immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts in Haiti.

The stylish shirts went on sale at various retailers accross the nation on February 16th, both on-line and in-store. For only $25 you can look posh like Victoria Beckham, while also supporting the effort to bring Haiti back to life!
