After the sudden death of the beyond talented designer Alexander McQueen, the decision to cancel the NYC runway show was made. This made his pieces exclusive, and worth thousands more than what they already were. News broke that Gucci Group still believes in the brand and they will continue the production of the Alexander McQueen label. CEO, Robert Polet has confidence in the brand and will continue the success of the fashion line in the future. “I believe strongly in the Alexander McQueen brand and its future” Polet stated. McQueen's collection will be pushed to Paris Fashion Week where it is scheduled for March 9th.
