"Dora the Explorer" Actress Versus Nickelodeon: Lawsuit Over Claims of Poor Compensation Dropped

You may not recognize Caitlin Sanchez's name, but if you have a child under the age of 12 or occasionally flip through to Nickelodeon, you will certainly recognize her voice.

Sanchez, 14, has been the voice of Dora - from the network's widely popular "Dora the Explorer" - since 2007.

Sanchez just dropped a lawsuit against Nickelodeon which claimed that she did not receive adequate compensation for her work and stood to gain substantially more than what she earned. Her lawsuit claimed that she didn't receive fees due for her voice work, reruns, and many hours of promotional work.

Her lawsuit reports Sanchez receives $5,115 per episode.

The only comment her lawyer, John Balestriere, would give an AP reporter was the lawsuit was dropped after discussions.

Readers, do you think Sanchez deserves more than a little of $5K over per episode considering the "Dora" franchise has brought in more than $11 billion since 2002?
