For real-life doctors, advertisers, and cops, their professions have been chronicled on the small screen for years. Shows like Grey's Anatomy, Mad Men, and Law & Order have introduced and kept the public aware of the ins and outs of their jobs - something which has yet to happen for the public relations profession.
Up until now, the only exposure the PR industry had on television was from reality shows like "Kell On Earth" and "The Spin Crowd."
Finally, however, this is all about to change.
Shonda Rhimes is reportedly developing a TV drama that will focus on PR crisis management.
According to PRNewser, the show will revolve around "the life and work of a 'professional fixer and her dysfunctional staff''" and will be inspired by the life of Judy Smith, who famously represented Monica Lewinsky and Michael Vick.
Readers, will you tune in for a show all about PR? With Rhimes' magic touch, it might just be the next Grey's!
