Entertainment Weekly reports that Julianne Moore has landed the lead role in the upcoming HBO film “Game Change,” based on the bestselling novel about the 2008 election by the same title.
The film will be directed by Jay Roach and will tell the story of Palin’s run for Vice President alongside John McCain.
Ironically, Moore is politically liberal — she publicly supported Obama’s campaign and is the spokesperson for GLAAD (the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation).
Other key roles (such as Obama and McCain) have not yet been cast.
