We all know that brand trademarks are of extreme importance and violating those trademarks can only lead to issues. Well it seems that Filene's Basement did not get the memo. The discount retailer has been accused of selling fake Fendi handbags, and has been in a legal battle with the design house since 2006. Fendi has finally won the drawn out battle and has been able to put a permanent injunction against Filene's Basement. though the chain retailer has lost its legal battle it has not stopped selling "designer" bags such as Prada, Gucci, Valentino, and Alexander McQueen. I wonder how legitimate those bags really are. At least we know that Fendi will be protecting its consumers from being deceived.
