Donald Trump has announced that he will not be running for president in 2012. Following the birther debacle and his roast at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, it looks like the real estate mogul and “Celebrity Apprentice” star is finally “fired” from the race.
"This decision does not come easily or without regret, especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country,” he said in a statement. "I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election."
Right, Donald. Keep telling yourself that.
