Old Spice and Gap: Trying to Fix What Isn't Broken - and Making It Worse

Hello, ladies.

If you read that line and immediately thought of a scantily clad Isaiah Mustafa, you're not alone. Mustafa served as the wildly popular face (and body) of Old Spice with his "Man Your Man Could Smell Like" commercials.
Recently, there has been speculation that NFL star Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens is replacing Mustafa.

Mustafa garnered instant fame when his Old Spice commercials hit the web, and Old Spice was lauded for a genius marketing ploy. Now, however, Old Spice has seemingly chosen to replace the now well-recognized Mustafa in favor of an NFL linebacker.

Joining Old Spice in the "trying to fix what isn't broken" category this week is Gap. Every major newspaper, magazine, and blogger has taken to his or her medium this week to call out Gap on its hideous new logo.

Many questioned why Gap would change its iconic logo - which is easily recognized all over the world - to one that is just, well, awful.

See the two logos below and voice your opinion: is Gap moving in the right direction with the new logo?
