The Power of Social Media: Twitter Makes Strides to Help Haiti

Twitter is once again showing other social networking sites how it's done - and by it, I mean making the world a better place.

TwitChange is the site's most recent development in helping others - specifically aHomeInHaiti.org.

All proceeds from TwitChange's celebrity auction (going on now!) will go directly to aHomeInHaiti.org and the Miriam Center, which "houses, educates, and loves on Haitian children with cerebral palsy, severe autism, and other major life challenges and is one of the only facilities of its kind in Haiti."

TwitChange is offering something unique and fun to motivate people to bid: a chance to be followed by their favorite celebrity on Twitter, retweeted, or mentioned by them in a special tweet!

The celebrity auction is already underway and ends September 25.

Head over to http://twitchange.com/ and see if your favorite celebrity is up for auction (he or she most likely is!), and make sure you bid! As the site says, YOUR INVOLVEMENT = Permanent housing for orphans.
